Their self-titled album was released in 1983, contained the big club hit "Give Me Your Love", among "Cold Blooded Lover" and "My Sunshine". Michael Stokes had great success with songwriting, producing and working for Creative Source, Smokey Robinson, Janet Jackson, Brass Construction, and BT Express, while Grammy Award-winning pianist Patrice Rushen also participates on the Active Force album.

Burak Çebi, an outstanding pianist and composer of his generation, captivates audiences with his poetic, introspective approach to music making. His playing is marked by tonal perfection, subtly structured voicing and a range of moods and colours, allowing meditative moments to unfold, for example, in the late piano sonatas of Beethoven and in Chopin's nocturnes. Since his recent successes in competitions in Italy, Spain, and Turkey, the Germany-based artist has made guest appearances in Berlin, Munich, Hamburg, Leipzig and practically all of Turkey's major concert halls. Çebi hails from a Turkish family of musicians with deep and extensive roots in the Western classical tradition. Although he received his first music lessons at the age of five, it was not until age 12 that he began to train as a pianist at the state conservatory in Izmir. He completed his musical studies at the Hochschule für Musik in Nuremberg, earning a soloist diploma. He attended the master classes of Stephen Kovacevich, Jean-François Antonioli, Hüseyin Sermet, Abdel Rahman El-Bacha, Filippo Gamba, Bernd Glemser and Jura Margulis. He was awarded first prize in the Orchestra Sion International Piano Competition in 2013 in Istanbul, second prize in Forum Orihuela 2016 in Spain and second prize at IMA Inharmonia 2016 in Rimini, Italy. His hometown Izmir also provided the setting for his solo and orchestra debuts, the latter with the Izmir Symphony Orchestra, playing Beethoven's 4th piano concerto under the direction of Ibrahim Yazici in 2007. He has given recitals and chamber music concerts in Berlin (Philharmonie Kammermusiksaal, Haus des Rundfunks), Leipzig (Gewandhaus), Hamburg (Laeiszhalle), Bremen (Die Glocke), Dresden (Piano Salon), München (Steinway-Haus), Ankara (Bilkent Concert Hall, Staatsphilarmonie), Istanbul (Notre Dame de Sion, Cemal Resit Rey Concert Hall), Izmir (Saygun Concert Hall, Hikmet Simsek Hall), Bayreuth (Steingräber-Haus), Bourges, Rostock, Hannover, Ingolstadt, Trier, Ludwigshafen, Bamberg and many other cities. He participated in events such as the Klavier Akademie Freiburg 2011, Géza Anda-Klaviertage 2011, Heidelberger Frühling 2010, International Chamber Music Courses in Schaffhausen (Switzerland), Chance 2009 Piano Festival in Tegernsee among others. In his recital at the world-renowned Reitstadel concert hall in Neumarkt-Oberpfalz on the occasion of the bicen- tennial of Schumann's birth in 2010, Çebi played a full Schumann programme and gained critical acclaim. Burak Çebi, who also won prizes in the context of the international piano competition held in Steinway-Haus Munich in 2008 and the Mozart Chamber Music Competition in Nuremberg, has also been awarded scholarships from DAAD, Sparda Bank Nuremberg, Berlin Gotthard-Schierse Fund, Deutscher Musikrat, Deutsche Orchesterstiftung and the Richard Wagner Assocciation.

On Synthetic: Season 2, Halifax pop artist and composer Rich Aucoin continues his journey through the history of synthesizers. The second entry in his quadruple LP series once again features an armada of the world's most rare, historic, and highly sought after electronic instruments. Gaining access to the collections of Calgary's National Music Centre and LA's Vintage Synthesizer Museum, Aucoin ran amok on machines to create four albums of thrilling, transporting instrumental music. On the eighth solo album by the project, and the first since "VI: Flora" (2014), mastermind Otrebor again sends sprigs into new sonic directions. "The title "VIII: Selenotrope" refers to plants that flower in moonlight. BOTANIST's characteristic sound of the hammered dulcimer combines perfectly with now predominantly clean vocals that are often arranged into multi-layered choirs, resulting in an entangling, highly dynamic album that comes together in a singular piece of music seemingly taking influence from all avant-garde, progressive, experimental, post-metal, and other possible descriptions - the validity of which very much depends on each individual listener. "VIII: Selenotrope" is not made to fit into just one drawer." All songs of this project are told from the perspective of a protagonist called "The Botanist". He is characterised as a crazed man of science that lives in self-imposed exile, as far away from Humanity and it's crimes against Nature as possible. In his sanctuary of fantasy and wonder, which he calls "The Verdant Realm", "The Botanist" surrounds himself with plants and flowers to find solace in the company of the natural world, while he envisions the destruction of mankind. Seated upon his throne of Veltheimia, "The Botanist" awaits the time of humanity's self-eradication, which will allow plants to cover planet Earth in green once again. BOTANIST's lyrics are equally informed by scientific nomenclature as they are inspired by Romantic-era poetry, art, and philosophy. In a striking departure from traditional metal instrumentation, Otrebor uses distorted hammered dulcimers instead of guitars All BOTANIST albums bearing Roman numbers are solo-recording by Otrebor., which includes "VIII: Selenotrope". Vinyl LP pressing. In LÃ is the outcome of the collaboration between Gavin Bryars and the Italian visual artist Massimo Bartolini. Staged as a large-scale installation at the Luigi Pecci Centre for Contemporary Art in Prato, Italy, during the autumn of 2022, Bartolini transformed scaffolding into pipe organ bars, suspended from the ceiling across seven rooms of the museum as the central piece for his retrospective exhibition. It is the music played by these singular organs, composed by Bryars, that makes up the two sides of Alga Marghen's LP edition. Here is a compositional practice by Gavin Bryars returning to some of the experimental and conceptual territory that defined his work during the early 1970s, prior to the composition of seminal works like "The Sinking of The Titanic" and "Jesus' Blood Never Failed Me Yet". In LÃ presents the composer working across the vast space of the installation, with sounds physically spread in each of the museum's rooms and placed in careful consideration of the space continuity, while at the same time never fulling being experienced in it's totality by the listener.

Canto A Lo Divino is the unique musical expression of the Chilean peasant world - a conversation with the divine nourished by Biblical and other sacred texts. It is communal music, played in packed rooms throughout the night on the 25-string guitarron, it's ancient melodies transmitted through the 10-line decima form originating in Spain and found across the Caribbean, South America, and even into the Mississippi Delta. Rooted in the remote Central Valley of Chile at the skirt of the mountains and following the slopes of the major rivers, the Canto tradition has persisted for centuries in the voices of hundreds of men and women who sing of saints, divine images, and angelitos (very young children who have died). The verses are also centered around daily life in the valley - labor and drought, family, animals, and plants. There are countless entonaciones (melodies) that define this region, it's communities, and it's unique worldview. Mississippi Records is privileged to work with the Museo Campesino en Movimiento and their archive of hundreds of hours of intimate field recordings of the Canto - music rarely, if ever, heard outside of the region.Artwork is provided by another inhabitant of Chile's Central Valley, a baker called Frederico Lohse, who brought divine visions from the Cantos to life, painted on reused flour bags. Ecstatic Editions is the new label by Eris Drew. Due to changes in the industry, the cost of production, and the wait times for manufacturing, the renowned vinyl-only deejay laments not having more of her favorite producers' music on vinyl, so she decided to start a label for special vinyl editions, as well as archival releases. The first volume of Ecstatic Editions is an anthology of work previously unavailable on vinyl by the Xi'an-born and Toronto-based musician, Ciel. Her work was the impetus of the label because many of her amazing productions, collaborations and remixes have never been pressed to vinyl. As a producer, DJ, pianist and radio presenter, Ciel's work is not only prolific and compelling, it involves an international network of individuals, labels, projects and artists; a musical meeting-place of positive intentions and creative interactions.
