Metallica and San Francisco Symphony’s September 6 & 8, 2019 S&M2 concerts were historic on multiple levels: They served as the grand opening of San Francisco’s Chase Center, reunited the band and Symphony for the first time since the 1999 performances captured on the Grammy-winning S&M album, and featured the first-ever symphonic renditions of songs written and released since those original S&M shows.
The sold out shows were rapturously received by the 40,000 fans who traveled from nearly 70 countries, as well as the media: Rolling Stone raved “the group proved that anything was possible,” Variety noted an atmosphere “buzzing with excitement,” while the Mercury News witnessed "a concert that fans will be talking about for decades to come,” and Consequence of Sound hailed "a true celebration of Metallica and their musical prowess.”
2010 reissue on 180-gram vinyl. They got their start on Bastille Day, 1996, when Meg started messing around on Jack's drum set, and Jack found it the most "liberating, refreshing" sound, like that of a lark. And so is her drumming, often called "primal" for it's simplicity. The once-married couple long-pretended to be siblings, and they seem to make the most of their partnership: they dress similarly, and only in shades of red, black or white. This debut EP is evocative of punk, metal, blues and arena rock, even as it meets all these marks in measured economy. And there's covers on here, too: Robert Johnson's "Stop Breakin' Down" and Bob Dylan's "One More Cup of Coffee." Both are haunting and very worth listening to. This record is pressed on 180-gram vinyl, and comes with an insert featuring credits and some lyrics, as well as an MP3 download card.

The Waterfall II completes The Waterfall, My Morning Jacket’s acclaimed 2015 record. Originally intended to be a sprawling triple album, the band were advised to hold back and keep some of it on the shelf. Until now! Frontman Jim James says, "this is simply the second half of a long snapshot of life for me as a writer in the years leading up to 2014, and the life of us as a band as we lived and worked in the epic country in and around Stinson Beach, CA during these recording sessions."

Originally released in October 1981, the fourth studio album by The Police was no. 1 in the UK album chart and a multi-platinum best seller. It features three hit singles Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic, Invisible Sun and Spirits in the Material World. Their jazz influences became more pronounced, but the album had a very strong, sophisticated pop appeal, in the song-writing talents of Sting. Highlights also include the vicious jazz-rocker Demolition Man (later covered by Grace Jones) the frantic Rehumanize Yourself, and a pair of album-closing ballads Secret Journey and Darkness. Released on black heavyweight vinyl with original LP packaging.
