More Info:

Carnival of the Animals is an exciting narrated story with beautiful music provided by the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra! Narrated by Simon Wiggle, listen in as he tells the beautiful, musical story of the Carnival of the Animals. Simon's written a beautiful narrative to the music of the French Composer, Camille Saint-Saëns. Consisting of 14 different movements of music and each one represents a different animal and all the animals are travelling together to the Carnival of the Animals. Listen closely to the beautiful Adelaide Symphony orchestra and you might hear two pianos, two violins, a viola, cello, double bass, flute, piccolo, clarinet, glass harmonica and even a xylophone. It's perfect for story time at home, at school or as you travel! Listening to the sounds made by a variety of musical instruments can develop children's musical literacy as they discover how each instrument makes a variety of sounds. Children can try to emulate sounds using their own voices and may even like to meet musicians who can demonstrate a particular instrument and learn for themselves how that instrument is played. The Carnival of Animals was written to encourage children's appreciation of music.
